The GIA Foundation is a community development organization committed to seeing people in the city of Brinkley and Monroe county communities living healthy wholistic lives. We believe that God wants to restore us not only to right relationships with Himself but also with our own true selves, our families, and our communities - not just spiritually, but emotionally, physically, economically, and socially. To this end, we follow Jesus’ example. We proclaim good news to the poor, freedom to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, healing to the broken-hearted, liberty to the oppressed, and to declare the acceptable year of the Lord. We work to bring down the partitions that divide us. We love our neighbors as ourselves and work to see that we are one in heart and mind and being together, we have all things in common. We put our faith into action as we pray for the well-being of our city, trusting that when the entire community does well and prospers we will be a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. which is our mission, our vision, and how we go about being the changes we want to see.

We Believe!

GIA is an organization of believers who believe the Gospel is the cure for the human condition at every level; personally, socially, locally, and nationally. When Jesus Christ ascended to heaven he left the fate of the kingdom in the hands of those who believe. His command to this group of simple fearful believers was clear: “go into the world and make disciples (learners) of all ethnicities, teach them to experience everything that I have given you”. The goal of the proclamation of the Gospel was expressed in several ways. We believe the one that most clearly defines our impact locally is “you (speaking specifically and directly to the local believes) are the light of the world, a CITY set on a hill that cannot be hidden”. Brinkley sits at the highest point in Monroe County. The present condition of our city makes it clear that it is time to take our faith to the next level. The world needs examples of the power of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth and We believe it should begin with us.

The faithful in Brinkley are called to be a demonstration of the power of the Gospel to change the world beginning with our local community. There are approximately 26 churches in our community (+/-). The evidence of our faith is present. Now it’s time to demonstrate its power. We talk about what the local and national government is doing, needs to do, and what “they” are not doing. But we have a King in Heaven who is ready to do if his people (the believers) would humble themselves and come together in obedience to his Lordship. “Now he (Jesus) is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come”, (Eph. 1:19b). Jesus told his disciples, “that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the ethnicities, beginning in Jerusalem”, (Luke 24:47). In Acts 1:8 he told them “you (the believers gathered together) will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This statement represents the spread of their influence and how the impact would reach the world; beginning with their local community, to their county (Judea), to their region, Samaria, and the world.

We believe, together, we can be an example of the power of God to restore life. Our city is right for a demonstration of the resurrection power of God. That power has been given to us who believe. The Apostle Paul said, I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms”, (Ephesians 1:19). The condition of our city is a witness to the power of God as a relevant and real source in the world in which we live. It is difficult for non believers to trust a god that cannot help us in our present condition. “Who would fashion a god or cast an image that can do no good?” (Isaiah 44:10). The evidence Jesus offered as proof of authenticity for his ministry was “The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor”, (Matthew 11:15). We believe that same proof should be evident in Brinkley Arkansas.

We believe, through faith:

  • We can revitalize our downtown area to make it attractive and vibrant again.

  • We can create safe walkable space where people can enjoy and experience the beauty of our local economy and our region.

  • We can be a city where people feel safe, connected, and welcomed; a place where they want to raise their families.

  • We can revive the economy of our town through supporting local producers and businesses, and by developing local entrepreneurs and raising the standard of service.

  • We can bring economic prosperity to the people of Brinkley, providing opportunity for every citizen of our community to thrive; to overcome lack, to own a home, to raise the quality of their lives, to live in high-standard housing, and to provide for their families without struggle.

  • We can live healthy active lives experience nature, enjoy the outdoors, and free from poor health and disease.

  • We can provide access to quality, relevant education that prepares our youth to succeed in life.

  • We can raise the standard of skills, service delivery, and competency in our youth and adult workforce creating a high-quality standard of expectation fit for a king.

  • We can breakdown every barrier that oppresses, marginalizes, or disenfranchises any person opening and lighting the way for unity and demonstration of oneness in the Kingdom of heaven.
